Drones are a growing industry in farming, search and rescue, realty, insurance and so much more. This session ill also cover objectives for how drones fit into a curriculum and how students can demonstrate competency.

1. Identify how aerial drones are being used in CTE
2. Recognize innovative ways to incorporate aerial drone into a curriculum
3. Discuss how assessments are performed using aerial drones

Tracie Opolka photoPresenter: Mrs. Opolka is a National Board Certified teacher at Hackett High School in Hackett, Arkansas. She taught business education for twenty-four-years and in 2017 she transitioned into teaching Unmanned Aerial Systems (Drones) and Computer Science for her district. Tracie is a member of the Arkansas Business Education Association, Arkansas Association for Career Technology where she has served on both boards. Mrs. Opolka is currently the President-elect for the Southern Business Education Association. She has been a member of the NBEA for several years.
