Student relationships are critical in providing a meaningful learning experience. This session will provide activities that can be used to establish relationships with students while in distance learning. After this session, attendees will:

  1. Clearly define the importance and benefits of positive Student/ Teacher Relationships
  2. Identify Ways to build student relationships while in Distance Learning
  3. Activities that can be used in a Virtual Environment to develop positive peer and teacher relationships

Presenter

Charisse Woodward has been teaching at Sherando High School in Stephens, Virginia, for eleven years, where she has taught Economics and Personal Finance, dual credit Business Management, Computer Applications, Business Law, Principles of Business and Marketing, and Entrepreneurship. She is also the Coop Coordinator and supports the county’s Work-Based Learning Coordinator in facilitating experiences that uncover students’ true career interests for the future.  Prior to teaching, Charisse was a Teller Manager for Wells Fargo familiar Wachovia Bank.  Charisse has four daughters, one of which is the 2020 Miss District of Columbia High School America.
