Dr. Roseland's current scholarship focuses around two avenues of work core to her teaching philosophy and practice: improving the design and delivery of online courses as well as topics that build the capacity of business educators to use research-based approaches to teaching. Her work has been published in New Directions for Evaluation, Journal for Research in Business Education, Journal of Adolescent Health, Evaluation and Program Planning, and the National Business Education Forum.
In addition, she has extensive applied research experience in evaluation of educational and social programs and policies, and on supporting the work of others engaged in quality improvement, reform, and community-building efforts. With strong training in qualitative and quantitative methods, my work in evaluation often relies on participatory, collaborative, and developmental processes and has served a range of constituents from small non-profits focused on program improvement to large state, county and local public health agencies or education institutions.
Dr. Roseland hold a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in Educational Policy & Administration with an emphasis in Evaluation Studies/Program Evaluation; a Master's of Science in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with an emphasis in Business & Marketing Education; and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Proud recipient of the 2021 College of Education & Professional Studies Innovation Award and a Fulbright-Hays Group Project Abroad Award - Curriculum Development Project Abroad, Tamilnadu, India, 2003.
