Working in Teams
"One of the skills that employers value most in their staff is the ability to work as part of a team. Teams play a central role in today’s workplace, whether they are permanent groups of department members or ad hoc groups formed to solve a particular problem.
When companies are hiring, they scrutinize applicants for team experience. In a recent survey of employers conducted by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), teamwork skills were rated third (after communication skills and honesty/integrity) in a list of most-desired employee traits.

Business teachers are hearing the same message. Advisory committees are asking business departments in community colleges to train their students in teamwork environments. Business teachers talking informally to local business executives hear the same thing."
