The Council for Business Teaching and Research (CBTR) (formerly known as ABTR) serves primarily, but not exclusively, educators working at colleges and universities in business teacher education programs. CBTR is committed to excellence in research and
teaching of business. The division resulted after a merger of the Association for Research in Business Education (ARBE) and National Association of Business Teacher Educators (NABTE).
CBTR no longer offers institutional memberships.
Business Education Research Conference
CBTR members are eligible to participate in the Business Education Research Conference (BERC) held annually in conjunction with NBEA's annual convention. The BERC is designed to to showcase academic research in
the area of business and business-eduction related topics. Individuals can submit a BERC presentation proposal in the Summer and Fall of each year. The BERC is a great way to show off your research and maintain your academic credentials
for promotions and more.
