Award Nomination Form

General Requirements

The deadline for all 2025 award nominations is August 1, 2025.

Nominees must meet the following general criteria as well as any criteria listed for the award they are being nominated for:

  • The nominee must…
    • Currently be a member of the NBEA.
    • Have been a member for at least five (5) years.
    • Be physically present at the annual convention to receive the award.
  • Self-nominations are not accepted.
  • The nominator must upload a letter of recommendation and be a current NBEA member. The nominator will also submit the nominee’s materials.
  • The nominee’s contributions may have been made over an extended period; however, only contributions within the last seven (7) years should be included on the nomination form.

Submissions will require bulleted lists in each of the following fields:

  • Biographical data: current and former employment for the past seven (7) years, and teaching and/or administrative responsibilities.
  • Participation in and contributions to local, state, regional, and national professional associations. (Points awarded for this category: 0 - 40 points)
  • Involvement in other activities such as departmental and committee work, including service to the educational institution, community, or professional organizations. (Points awarded for this category: 0 - 30 points)
  • Contributions, which could include major articles, presentations, refereed publications, non-refereed publications, research activities, grant proposals, and involvement with student activities. (Points awarded for this category: 0 - 30 points)
