Committees
Webinars
- Host a webinar with NBEA and share your knowledge. Find out more or submit here. Members and Non-members are welcome. Webinars are educational presentations lasting from 30 minutes to an hour and facilitated by NBEA leaders. Webinars need clear educational objectives on a topic relevant to business education. Teachers who need a scholarship for FREE NBEA dues for a year can earn a scholarship by presenting a webinar as described here.
Journals and Newsletters
- Submit a proposal for an article in The Business Education Forum Journal
Authors are not required to be NBEA members.
- Submit a manuscript for The Journal of Research in Business Education
- Proposals for the 2023 Effective Methods for Teaching Business Education publications are now closed. These will reopen in late 2023. 2022 saw a record number of submission so plan ahead
for you 500-750 word chapter for this publications used in teachers and students world wide.
- Submit an article proposal for the NBEA KeyingIN Newsletter.
NBEA
publishes a useful newsletter called KeyingIN to a subscriber list of more than 13,500 stakeholders. The newsletter includes special features and association news. Submit your article today. Opinion pieces, product reviews, book
reviews etc. are all welcome. The primary criteria for selection is that the intellectual property be your's and that the content is relevant to business education.
- Copyright Release Form - Has your manuscript been chosen for publications? Complete a copyright release form.
- Get reminders of publishing opportunites. Register with NBEA as a member or guest (free) and join the #publishing opportunities channel in our community.
Awards
- Nominate someone for an award to be given at the 2025 convention. Deadlines apply. (Teacher of the Year, Business Education Hall of Fame and more) Nominations are open until July 1. Nominate someone now.
- Nominate for an CBTR Award
Doctoral Dissertation Award
CBTR requests nominations for doctoral dissertations and seminal studies related to business education. Research completed during 2022 will be submitted and reviewed in 2023 and awarded at the 2024 Business Education Research Conference (BERC), which is held in conjunction with the National Business Education Association Convention. Nominations are now closed and will reopen in the Summer
- National Leadership Award
The purpose of the CBTR Leadership Award is to recognize a CBTR member for outstanding leadership and service to the organization and the profession. The awardee will exemplify a commitment to promoting scholarship, leadership, and cooperation among professionals in education for business through leadership at the national level. Nominations are now closed and will reopen in the Summer
Convention
- Convention and BERC proposals will open in the Spring of 2025. Need more information about the upcoming convention, checkout http://NBEA.org/convention
Apply for a Higher Education Scholarship
Applications are taken annually from February to May 1 for the McCauley-Crank Memorial Scholarship. This year two scholarships of $3,000 each will be awarded. Find out more or apply. (Note: Applications are note closed for 2024, check back in January of 2025 to apply next year.)
