Overview
In today's rapidly evolving educational and business landscape, the role of the classroom extends far beyond traditional instruction. The 2026 edition of Effective Methods of Teaching Business Education invites you to explore and share innovative approaches that prepare students not just for academic success, but for dynamic, real-world careers. This edition's focus is on how educators can transform conventional learning environments into launchpads for practical, workforce-ready skills.
This publication's primary audience is high school teachers who want to be more effective. Post-secondary educators are welcome to submit effective teaching strategies relevant to secondary educators. While research articles are welcomed, articles are not required to be formal research studies. If you are interested in submitting your formal research for publication, please submit to the Journal of Research in Business Education.
Submission Topics
We welcome contributions that address, but are not limited to, the following areas:

Final Manuscript Submission Guidelines
- Manuscript Length: Approximately 1,500 words. Your manuscript may be slightly higher or lower depending on the depth you prefer.
- Format: Please submit your manuscript in Microsoft Word and prepare it using APA 7th edition guidelines (citations, references, headings, etc.).
- Abstract: Include a 150-word abstract summarizing your key points.
- Graphics specification if used.
How to Submit ITP and Final Manuscripts
Submit an "Intent to Publish" (ITP) proposal containing your proposed title, and an approximate 150 word abstract. Editors will inform you between July 16 and September 1, 2025 of whether your ITP proposal. Articles may be accepted on a first come basis given they meet the criteria so it would be to the author's advantage to submit early.
STEP ONE - SUBMIT YOUR INTENT TO PUBLISH (ITP) FORM HERE by September 1, 2025 (Submit early, proposals will be considered on a weekly basis until all slots are filled.)
STEP TWO - IF ITP IS ACCEPTED BY EDITORS SUBMIT YOUR FINAL MANUSCRIPT HERE by October 15, 2025
Submissions will be reviewed based on originality, relevance to the theme, and practical applicability.
All final manuscripts should be prepared for blind peer review. Please ensure that author names, institutional affiliations, acknowledgments, and any other identifying information are removed from the manuscript prior to submission.
Editorial Rights and Terms
Editors work with authors in a collaborative process to create the best work possible. Potential authors should know editors are available for discussion or coaching on writing best practices or other issues pertaining to potential articles. This is a wonderful opportunity for new writers to learn from the experienced editors. The editorial team reserves the right to make minor copyedits (e.g., grammar, clarity, APA formatting) prior to publication. Any substantive changes will be communicated to the author(s) for approval. Final formatting may be adjusted to align with NBEA publication standards.
