Notice to NBEA Members: Simplifying Membership Options

Dear NBEA Members,

We are excited to announce a significant update to our membership structure to simplify and enhance your experience with the National Business Education Association (NBEA). Starting from June 1, NBEA will discontinue the "Bronze," "Silver," "Gold," and "Platinum" membership levels. Instead, we will introduce a streamlined category called "Professional Membership."

Key Points of the New Membership Structure

  1. Automatic Transition for Current Members: If you currently hold a Silver, Gold, or Platinum membership, you have been automatically added to one or both of our specific interest groups: the Council for Business Teaching and Research (CBTR) and the Council for International Business Education (CIBE).
  2. Continued Access to Services: Rest assured, NBEA is not eliminating any membership services. We are simply simplifying the structure to make it more straightforward and user-friendly.
  3. Joining Specific Interest Groups: Members who wish to join specific interest groups like CBTR or CIBE can still do so during the membership join or renewal process. Any associated fees will continue to directly fund the services provided by these groups. View directions on how to maintain your group affiliatations CBTR or CIBE here.
  4. Retirees and Undergraduate Students: These important groups in NBEA still enjoy steep discounts with a "Retiree" or "Student" membership.

NBEA Executive Director, Joe McClary, stated, "NBEA's leadership identified the need to simplify our offering and put that objective in the strategic plan. We are happy we have arrived at a good time to execute on the plan to make NBEA's membership options easier to understand."

We believe these changes will provide a clearer and more cohesive membership experience, allowing you to focus on the benefits and services that matter most to you. Thank you for your continued support and commitment to NBEA. Have questions, don't hesitate to get in touch with us!

Sincerely,

The NBEA Leadership and Staff
